Close CRM Integration

Close CRM is the CRM provider Volv Analytics expects for core contact, lead, and deal data. In the product, this integration is shown to customers as CRM rather than a Close-branded card.

Why connect Close CRM?

By connecting Close, Volv Analytics can:

  • Sync contacts and leads so Volv can match activity to the right people and companies.
  • Track deals from your CRM pipeline alongside meetings, recordings, and revenue.
  • Correlate sales activity with Close records for attribution and reporting.
  • Unlock onboarding because the required onboarding card is the CRM connection.

Where you connect it

The real setup path is setup-first:

  1. Start your Volv Analytics onboarding flow.
  2. Open the Connect Your Integrations step.
  3. Find the required card labeled CRM.
  4. Connect that card to your Close account.

If you are already past onboarding, the product still has connection-management areas in Settings, but there is not a separate visible Close-specific Settings card.

Connect with OAuth

Use the onboarding CRM card to connect your Close account.

  1. On the onboarding Connect Your Integrations step, click Connect on the CRM card.
  2. A Close authorization window opens.
  3. Sign in to Close if prompted.
  4. Approve the connection.
  5. Return to Volv Analytics.

When the connection succeeds, the CRM card changes to Connected, and the onboarding Continue button becomes available.

Confirm the connection worked

You can confirm success using customer-visible cues:

  • The onboarding CRM card shows Connected.
  • The card styling changes to a connected state.
  • The onboarding Continue button is enabled once the required CRM connection is in place.

After onboarding

If you need to revisit connections later:

  • Settings > Integrations opens the generic OAuth Provider Connections manager.
  • Settings > Connections contains the generic API Key Connections area.

These areas are general connection-management surfaces, not a dedicated Close-only management card.

Troubleshooting

Keep troubleshooting to what customers can directly observe in the UI.

The Close window does not open

If clicking Connect does nothing, your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for your Volv Analytics domain and try again.

OAuth finishes but the CRM card does not show Connected

Try refreshing the page and returning to the onboarding step. The visible success state is the CRM card changing to Connected.

You still cannot continue onboarding

The onboarding flow requires the CRM card to be connected before Continue becomes available.

Disconnecting or changing access

Volv does expose general connection-management areas, but this page does not assume a Close-specific disconnect button unless your visible UI shows one.

If you need to remove or change access later, use the relevant Settings connection-management area in Volv and revoke the authorization or API key in Close as needed.
